| 1. | Urban, Medical and Industrial Entomology, Insect resistance to insecticide | I am specializes in urban, medical, and industrial Entomology; recently have been working with Aedes aegypti as a dengue vector (vector surveillance system, insect sterile technique), as well as with urban insects, which develop resistance to insecticides, and developing methods to control various urban and industrial pests. Previously, I was interested in the adaptive significance of behavioral and physiological characteristics of insects and research where the fields of behavior, ecology, and physiology overlap.
