The SITH ITB Biology Doctoral Program is organized to prepare students to become independent researchers in the field of Biology, with mastery of the latest Biology science and international standard scientific work through research programs. Although the main program is research, the curriculum designed is also supported by compulsory and elective lectures. The Biology Doctoral Study Program includes three scientific orientations, namely Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biomanagement. The Program's scientific tree supports independent research programs in the realm of science, applied and engineering biology.

Doctoral Program in Biology of SITH-ITB was gain the #UNGGUL predicate in the latest national accreditation on April 2022. This is certainly due to the availability of credible lecturers, research colaboration between SITH and other institutions, the availability of some sufficient research facility such as the Center of Advances Sciences (CAS) ITB and also student's scientific publications. Durring the year of 2021, there were 14 student's scientific works published in national and international reputable (Q1-Q4) journals.

Our doctoral program is supported by 18 licenced prospective main supervisors. There are also some lecturers whom are both nationally and internationally research-experienced. The supervission from credible suprvisors is hopefully help us to fullfill our learning objecttive of generating independent biology reserchers in the future. Researchers with some contributions in the development of latest biologcal sciences as their respond of world's problems and issues and also create innovative works with high-level originality and internationaly competitive.

As to manage our competitive values, we are regularly organized some internationalization programs such as Double degree, Sandwich and internship research program colaborate with our partner institutions abroad. In 2021, one of our student was joinning the double degree program at Vrije Universiteit Brussel- Belgium, and 2 other students are in the sandwich program to Osaka University and Utrecht University in the end of 2022. On the other hand, our study program is open to foreign students. We have 2 students from Libiya and Pakistan. And as the support for foreign students, ITB provide a scholarship called Ganesha Talent-International Fellowship (GT-IF).
